In the stony foothills of Aravalli range is the kingdom of Danta, ruled by the Parmar Rajputs. Having migrated from Sindh in the 12th century, the Parmars made it in to an important political center at the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The Bhavani Villa Palace of the dynasty however, does not hark back to any Rajput style, but reminds us more of the colonial period of Indian history in its modem architecture. Looking like some English Mansion, its situation on the top of a hill provides an opportunity for a bird's view of the beautiful surrounding area. This heritage hotel has four grand suits and has interior of antique and attractive style. The tourist can enjoy horse riding as well as a horse safari during their stay here. The erstwhile rulers also arrange for a jeep safari for them. The visitors can enjoy a prolonged period of bird watching and can also go for long tracking exercise.
The dining hall serves Gujarati as well as Rajasthan cuisines. Spread out on a vast 108 acres, this complex has provision for the passion of the ruler for horses, and they maintain a horse ranch here and also keep 'studs' of Marwari horses
You have an advantage of visiting some very important pilgrim places from this heritage hotel. Besides their religious importance, they are also historical and marvellous architectural places.
You can arrange for a tour from here for visiting interesting places like the Jain temples of Taranga Hills and Kumbharia and even the Ambaji temple. To make a visit to the historical city of Vadnagar can also be arranged easily and a visit to the Bear sanctuary would add a new dimention to your tour
