According to legends, the tonsure ceremony of Lord Krishna also took place in this religious site. There is a golden yantra in the Amba Mata Temple with 51 'shlokas' on it. In the courtyard of the Amba Mata Temple of Junagadh the folk drama called 'Bhavai' is performed.
