Lord Hatkeshwar is the traditional god of the Nagar Brahmins. The Hatkeshwar Temple is one of the biggest ancient temple in Gujarat. This vast and beautiful temple is having height of 85 feet. A large number of beautifully carved sculptures, statues, idols and monuments have enriched the beauty and customary importance of this temple to find its place even in the Skand Puran. The beautiful and artistic Kandora carvings on the entrance gate are drawing attention of everyone with their beauty and art. Besides this, precinct walls have been beautifully carved with sculptures on them. Among these sculptures, the series of Dasha Avtar, Samudra Manthan, Krishna Lila and epic scene of Maha Bharata are giving jaw-dropping effects to the visitors.
