Paschim Mehtani Vav
This historical, monumental vav has been constructed outside Amarthole Darwaja on eastern side. It has a length of 250 feet and having as many as seven kothas (chambers/levels). The stone walls of the vav have been crafted with the panels of swans. The similar crafting and carvings are existing on the 'Zanzanio' and 'Bala' wells too. Thus it can be assumed that all these three monuments were built in the same century. It appears that the Vav was probably built in 16th century.
